Our Hand Gun Range is located on Commonage Road and is open 7 days a week from 7 AM to 7 PM.
While using the range, please respect our rules and regulations.
- A designated Range Officer shall be in charge of the firing line at all times, when more than one shooter is present at the range. The instructions and decisions of the Range Officer shall not be disputed.
- No alcohol is to be consumed during or for at least two hours prior to shooting.
- Handguns are to be brought onto the range unloaded and in a locked case. Handguns will not be loaded until the shooter in on the firing line.
- Rifles may be brought onto the range either unloaded and cased, or if not cased, unloaded, action open and muzzle pointed up. When not in use they will be unloaded with action open in the rifle rack.
- No firearms are to be moved between the rack or safety zone and the firing line if any person is downrange or if the firing line is active.
- When picking up any firearm, immediately confirm that the action is open and it is unloaded.
- Firearms are to be moved to the firing line only when the Range Officer gives direction to do so. When moving firearms, they must be unloaded, action open, muzzle pointed straight up.
- Loading: - Before loading�the barrel of the firearm must be checked for obstructions - No firearm shall be loaded except at the firing line when the command to load is given by the Range Officer - When loading, the firearm must be pointed at the target area.
- The firing line shall be kept clear at all times except for those actually shooting or coaching, at the discretion of the Range Officer.
- On completion of firing, the firearm must be kept pointing toward the target area and set down with action open for the inspection of the Range Officer. Do not leave the firing line until the Range Officer declares the firing line closed, then move your firearm to the rack in the manner described in point 7.
- If a firearm misfires or malfunctions, it shall be held pointing toward the target area until the Range Officer had cleared it or removed it.
- Never point a loaded or unloaded firearm at another person.
- Any shooter not known to the Range Officer must be instructed in these procedures before being allowed to shoot.
- Once the firing line becomes inactive, all the persons present must remain behind the firing line until the Range Officer has declared the range clear.
- In the event that the Range officer declares a cease fire, all shooters must unload firearms and leave them on the shooting bench with action open for the Range Officer to inspect.
- Only approved targets shall be used at the range. NO glass or plastic containers, mannequins, furniture, electronic, etc.
